Elvis the crocodile steals lawn mower

Freshwater Crocodiles in Australia Zoo
Elvis the crocodile lost two large teeth whilst engaging in the theft of a lawn mower. The cranky croc was victorious in grabbing the coveted lawn mower and dragging it underwater.
Sydney - A cranky crocodile called Elvis, who is believed to be half-a-century old, has been labelled as "full of testosterone" after his latest antics at the Australian Reptile Park in Sydney. Disturbed by the irritating noise of a lawn mower, Elvis lunged out of his lagoon retreat to steal the offending machine from zoo worker Billy Collett.
Tim Faulkner, operations manager at the Reptile Park, described the events that unfolded, saying "Before we knew it, the croc had the mower above his head. He got his jaws around the top of the mower and picked it up and took it underwater with him." (The Guardian)According to the BBC Faulkner added ''Once he got it, he just sat there and guarded it. It was his prize, his trophy. If it moved, then he would attack it again.'' Eventually Collett distracted the five meter animal with some crocodile feed whilst Faulkner retrieved the lawn mower. He also had to search the water for the two teeth which Elvis had lost in the encounter.
Elvis has been enjoyed a quiet and solitary life in the Reptile Park since 2008, refraining from his previous hobby of killing female crocodiles. Unfortunately the lawn mower will never mow again following its watery battle with Elvis.
