What is it? Maine video footage of unidentified creature posted

Untitled
As you can see for yourself, there is not much to the footage. A group of people on a walk in the woods, reputed to be in Maine, spot what they think is a bear in a tree. Things take a left turn when they try to get a better idea of what the animal is.
Somewhere in Maine, U.S.A. - The video footage shot presumably by a family out on a winter trek in the woods was posted on You Tube January 8th and already has over 9,000 views. The people thought they had found a bear hiding in a tree, but when they got a view of the face, they weren't so sure. Neither is anyone else who watches the brief footage. The footage has been reported overseas in United Kingdom media, although the North American press has not picked up the story - yet.
Trying to identify the creature is becoming a pastime. One blog writer states the most likely explanation is that the creature is a huge porcupine (which is what this writer thought too), but concludes the face is all wrong saying "... While we'll admit this fella is a far cry from the thing in "Harry and the Hendersons," we're also not ashamed to admit we have no idea what it is."
Another blogger claims to know the person who posted the video that is crossing oceans, and said there is a "surprise" on the way.
Readers should be noted that an exploration of the other three videos posted by webtech88 on You Tube shows illusions, the latest one titled "Sheba the Gorilla Girl." One version of Sheba the Gorilla Girl can be found at the Haunted Halls of Horror in Florida.
Questions remain, and of course, a mystery would not be interesting if there were no questions. The seeming authenticity of the video helps to preserve wonder for the curious onlooker. Will we ever find out what the creature is, where it was found, and whether or not this is part of some promotion?
Maine was home to a "mysterious creature" for some 50 years, until it was killed by a car in 2006. Maine has been the source of many sightings of Sasquatch and other bizarre creatures, such as the Chucacabra. This beautiful east coast state has inspired many writers, from Henry David Thoreau to Stephen King.

To me it looks like a monkey in the face, but then what monkey could survive in such extreme cold?

It's a porcupine. Can't you see the quills? They're often in trees in winter in Maine.

Well, that's what got me - I'm definitely on the porcupine side of the question, but I don't see quills and, frankly, this is one big porcupine! Mind, the video quality is not the best, so it makes it even harder to discern exaclty what this animal is!

The quills on top of the head & at the shoulder are more obvious if you zoom in on the image. The porcupine's half-turned from the camera.
